Tracy Byrd to perform at Watermelon Festival

The University of Arkansas Community College at Hope Foundation is proud to announce they have partnered with the Hope-Hempstead County Chamber of Commerce to add a headlining award winner country music artist to the 33^rd Annual Watermelon Festival.  Tracy Byrd has been confirmed for the August 8 concert that will take place in Legion Field at Hope Fair Park on the newly constructed CMC Steel Products outdoor stage. 

The Festival is Arkansas’ third largest festival drawing 60,000 people in a three day period.   It was just two years ago that the 268 pound watermelon was brought into the Festival and Hope reclaimed the title “Home of the World’s Largest Watermelon.”

Byrd’s southern roots, his work on RFD TV, and his love for the outdoors makes him a natural to visit our “NATURAL” state.   His country music chart topping hits include “Watermelon Crawl” “Truth about Men”, I’m From the Country”, “Keeper of the Stars”, “No Ordinary Man”, and “Before I Die” are perfect for our festival and will create enthusiasm in the community.  

Gates will open Saturday, August 8th at 4:30 p.m. Tracy Byrd will take the stage at 8:30 p.m.
Opening acts include Watermelon Idol winner, Jason Helms Band, and Night Hawk Band.

General Admission price will be $15 day of concert.

Chairs will only be provided for Reserved Ticket buyers, all other ticket holders need to provide their own seating for the concert.
