The Hope/Hempstead
County Chamber of Commerce has three Bluegrass
events each year. All three are free events and
feature national, regional, and local Bluegrass
acts. The winter Bluegrass show is held in
February. The Bluegrass Festival is generally
Mother's Day week-end in May, and the fall show is
in November.
Larry Stephenson Band to be featured at
2011 Festival
The Hope/Hempstead County Chamber of
Commerce will hold its 15th annual Free Bluegrass
FestivalSaturday,
May 14th beginning at 1:00pmin
Hope's Fair Park. The festival will be held outside on
theBancorpSouthStage.
In case of rain it will be moved into theFair
Park Community Center. Admission is free.
This show will feature
The Larry Stephenson Band. Other
groups to be featured are Grand Prairie, High Mountain
Grass and The Hempstead County Melody Boys. Bring
your lawn chairs and enjoy the music!

Fair Park is located offstate
Highway174
South. 6 blocks south of US 67. The park can be accessed
off Park Drive or Jones Street. Those attending should
bring their lawn chairs. Aconcession

be provided with charcoal grilled hamburgers and RC
products.
